Three Siwertell Shipunloaders
Recently, Happy Diamond and Happy Dover transported three M-type shipunloaders (CSU) from Taicang, CN, to Jurong Port, Singapore. Happy Diamond shipped two pieces in one voyage, while Happy Dover shipped the third piece.
The new shipunloaders were built by Siwertell in Taicang and they will be operated in the unloading of bulk vessels. Each shipunloader weighs 385 mton and measures approximately 39*24*33.5 metres. With an out-of-the-box stowageplan, the first vessel was able to transport two CSUs in one voyage. The second shipment contained the remaining CSU, which was landed on board in between both HLV cranes. The shipment with the two cranes would not have been possible without the capabilities of the 3D drawing program that we use to simulate projects. This program enabled our Engineers to meticulously check the feasibility of the idea to load the two CSUs on one vessel. BigLift has transported a great quantity of Siwertell equipment all around the world over the years.
